Leading telecom company has again hit headlines for riding on someone’s popularity to advance their business countrywide.

Safaricom through its mobile banking, Mpesa, has used Eliud Kipchoge’s fame to outdo its competitors, Airtel and Telkom.

In an unusual change, Safaricom changed its Mpesa logo to Eliud Kipchoge’s name as he gets ready for the Ineos 1:59 challange in Vienna, Australia.

Kipchoge accepted the challenge posed by Britain’s billionaire to break his own world record to run for 42KM under two hours.

Kenyans and sportsmen across the world have rallied behing the champion and wished him luck in the 12th October’s heated sport.
